OLIVER!!!!!!!!!!

Oliver Steven Wolfington; born this, the 31st day in the blistering month of August, 2008. Born 8lbs 19.5 inches, with the labor lasting a mere 2 hours from 11pm to 1am. Did I mention he has BLONDE hair? Yep, light skin, and blonde hair. He's a beautiful little baby boy; equaled only by his two older brothers Elijah and Noah (parental bias...sorry). Elizabeth is doing really well, and Oli is healthy. Life is good!

So today is Liz's original due date and... nothing. No baby yet. We are both ready, but I guess he's just a little too cozy in there.
I'm half way through my two week break after another semester down.
Picture #2 of in my continuing "future DMD" series of photos. This is Elijah wearing "daddy's gasses".

Our latest trip to In-n-out. We decorated Elijah's face with the stickers they pass out to kids. He just lets us mess with him. It's fun.

This was so funny. We have been going on bike rides more and more as the weather gets bearable in the evenings. So we were going over to swim at a house in our ward and I saw Elijah kind of slumped forward a bit, doing some wicked head bobbing (you know when you're really tired). It was so funny. I put a towel next to him and layed him on it and he was OUT. It's the first time he has fallen asleep in his bike trailer.

Mr. Fix it

Ok, so Steven never could fix the TV, however he does save us a lot of money around the house w/ his well rounded handyman skills. If he doesn't know how to fix it he looks it up on the computer. He remodeled our whole kitchen going off rented DIY library books. Impressive, eh? (Just don't ask how long it took).

Steve got up super early to fix the car and avoid the heat. This job, like most, was successful. And yes, he really did spray me.

Looking sexy in the toolbelt. He just fixed our plumbing problems this weekend.

I'm less than two weeks away from the due date! Just waddling around. Wish me luck.

I love this pic. The stroller is a hand me down from Eli's friend but he added his own touch.

Trying to keep cool here in the desert by swimming at the YMCA... a regular occurance. Steven, Elijah, and his buddy Luke.

Eli and Dex sniffin around at the dog park a few weeks ago.

he's all BOY

An unmistakable display of boyhood. Girls put on make-up, and boys make fart noises... period. Elijah discovered this on his own without any provocation on our part. It was pretty hilarious. It’s funny to see him realize he needs to dry his arm off to get maximum sound, and then when he is laughing and smiling so much he can’t get a good seal on his arm to make the noise.

broken

Finals week(s) are upon me and it seems like we are having a ton of stuff BREAK on us lately. Sentra radiator, Maxima tires, faucets, sinks, shower, TV, backyard grass-now-desert landscaping, etc, etc. Liz and I are done with buying 80's, DIY, fixer-upper houses. Anyone seen that old movie Moneypit with with Tom Hanks? Sheesh! If it aint one thing, it's surely the other.
Here are pictures of my so far vain attempt to fix our TV.

My wonderful grandmother Leona Udall.

True and beautifully consoling words from Joseph Smith
“…while we are only separated for a short season: their spirits which now exist with God have left the tabernacle of clay only for a little moment, as it were; and they now exist in a place where they converse together the same as we do on the earth…”
“We have reason to have the greatest hope and consolation for those who have passed on, of any people on the earth; for we have seen them walk worthily in our midst, and seen them sink asleep in the arms of Jesus…”
“When men are prepared, they are better off to go hence. The spirits of the just are exalted to a greater and more glorious work; hence they are blessed in their departure to the world of spirits.”

Elijah "fipping"

Not a whole lot is going on 'round these parts... just pluggin' away, day after day, come what may, guys in my class have to work way too hard for an A, don't forget to pray twice a day (which is much harder to do than say), I'm pretty happy with what I currently weigh, not to mention the fact I'll never need a toupee, unfortunately us Wolfington men need new hips by the time we are old and gray. Which brings me to my next point without further delay... there's no better day than today, and I guess what I'm trying to say in a round about way is there's no point to life if 'yer just going to waste it away. If you're thinking of coming up to Las Vegas to get away... you've definitely got a free place to stay. That is if you are willing to bring my Liz a bouquet, because her pregnant belly is much on display... somewhat to her dismay. Oh yeah, I didn't do so good on my test in X-ray. I promise, this is all that I'll say.

Elizabeth in her (almost) 8 month glory. She is having such a great time being so pregnant with a crazy 2 yr. old jumping all over her, whinning and crying (sarcasm, if you weren't sure).

We went to Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay when Noah was up for a week. It was great! This picture was in the "tube" where the sharks and stuff would swim right over our heads. We couldn't use the flash, or the fish would disappear. There was another part where we could reach in to a shallow tank and "pet" the sting-rays. They are squishy and slime-a-licous.

Elijah in his Sunday best. What a stud huh?

Puerto Penasco pictures and Noah in LV

So Liz and Eli D. had a great time in Rocky Point (no surprise). I'm really not bitter about it... even though my last post was a tad on the jealous side. :-)

I forget what kind of fish this is, but it tastes 100% better than it looks. It is a fresh fish right there in Rocky Point, and you put some fresh lime and Pico de gallo on it an it is authentic Mexico for sure.

Elijah with Noah's spiderman towel/backpack. PACK-PACK!! (what Eli calls a back-pack)

And Noah is up here right now! We are love, love, loving his company and I had the best Father's day on record with my family all complete. Life is good.

Elizabeth and Elijah are here. (generic picutre of Mexico)

While I'm stuck here. (generic picutre of a classroom)
THAT'S MESSED UP HUH? It's OK, I guess... I just hope they are having fun and staying safe. I miss them somethin' fierce though.

the benefits of dental school...

FREE (relatively speaking of coarse, "there's no such thing as a free lunch"), all you can eat, PANDAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a picture of all the 'tins'.

This is a blurry picture of me with all of the tins. I'm happy.

Here you can see the splendor of Panda's goodness. Ohhhhhhh, yeahhh!!!

nothin' new

So... nothing real big is going on. I did pass the part 1 board exam, which I guess is pretty big news... but not exactly something I could have captured on camera. he he. Thank you to everyone who prayed for my safe passage over that mountain. It was a dooooooooosey.
Elijah will be going through some milestones in the next month when the binky goes bye-bye and we transition to the "big boy bed". Potty training still seems a ways away, even though he say's "poo-poo" and "stinky" before, during and after he takes care of his 'business'. We've put him on the toilet and he just laughs and looks at us like we are crazy. Its crazy how challenging he can be one minute and then the next minute Liz and I want to kiss his face off. We love our boys.
That's pretty much it. I am dreading the oncoming summer months, but I guess it is what it is.

Elijah's Birthday Party!

We celebrated Elijah's 2nd birthday this week here in Mesa. It was a great time. Liz has been watching Ace of Cakes ("I love Food Network!" -Liz) and put together a friggin' sweet Elmo cake. I did individual cupcake Elmo faces, which were pretty awesome... if I do say so myself. By the way, Liz is 6 months pregnant, and not "just hanging her belly out".

No, seriously... Liz made this cake from scratch. Professional huh?!

Elijah was pretty much pooped out by the end of the night. How do I stop my boys from growing up?!

Good Weather Days

We have been enjoying some great weather here for the last couple of weeks and have been going on several "BIKE-IDE"s (that's how Elijah says it). Mary Catherine and Chloe Rebecca came up for a few day visit and it was nice for me to know Liz and Eli were occupied while I was/am in the thick of finals.

Our kids look so darn cute in this picture. The bike trailer is a great thing to have.
